Seaside Resorts now has six Myrtle Beach Resorts and Myrtle Beach Hotels to choose from. My family has always gone to Myrtle Beach, for as long as I can remember. We have watched it grow and go through many changes, most for the better part. It has been a great place for us to enjoy the sun, the beach, the restaurants, the golfing, the amusements, staying at a wonderful Myrtle Beach Resort and everything else that goes along with a great family beach vacation spot such as Myrtle Beach.

We didn’t get to go there this summer. The economy has put the squeeze on many of my family members and most folks stayed close to home this year. My parents have suggested that we plan early this year for next year’s Myrtle Beach gathering, so my mom is getting busy with emailing and calling people like crazy before the holiday season gets started and we have to deal with all of what that entails.

I hope that next year things will be better for most of us and that we can manage to put together a good time for those who can attend. The Internet certainly makes the whole task a much easier one to deal with.

Makes sense to me! Think about this:

1. Cows

2. The Constitution

3. The Ten Commandments

COWS

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that during the mad cow epidemic our government could track a single cow, born in Canada almost three years ago, right to the stall where she slept in the state of Washington? And, they tracked her calves to their stalls.. But they are unable to locate 11 million illegal aliens wandering around our country. Maybe we should give each of them a cow..

THE CONSTITUTION

They keep talking about drafting a Constitution for Iraq … Why don’t we just give them ours? It was written by a lot of really smart guys, it has worked for over 200 years, and we’re not using it anymore.

THE 10 COMMANDMENTS

The real reason that we can’t have the Ten Commandments posted in a courthouse or Congress is this — you cannot post ‘Thou Shalt Not Steal’ ‘Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery’ and ‘Thou Shall Not Lie’ in a building full of lawyers, judges and politicians …. it creates a hostile work environment.

To further one’s education has always been a good thing. And now with the economy taking it’s toll on so many us, I’m hearing that the number of people enrolling Technical Schools is on the rise. Jobs are hard to come by these days so any type of Technical and/or Trade Schools are a must in order to get a decent paying position for most of us. I’m so pleased that the Internet has made taking college classes so much easier. It all takes time, but by using the Internet it can and does shave a good amount of our precious time off of the whole college process.

Career Colleges, Technical Schools and Trade Schools can be found collegesurfing.com. I have been tinkering with the idea of taking a Culinary Arts Class. I have always enjoyed cooking and am looking for a change of careers in the near future. I’m not in a hurry but want to start researching some of my ideas and be prepared and know what I’m getting into. Home Study is something that I think I can handle, going back to a school room environment just isn’t my cup of tea!

It has been so dang gone cold and rainy out for the past few weeks. The weatherman promised that this past weekend was going to be a great one that I had planned a nice weekend with a few friends with their Harley’s. Skyline Drive is beautiful this time of year with all the leaves changing, but alas it was in the 40′s and raining both days, sigh….

Now that the weekend is over and everyone is back to work, it is sunny and in the 70′s. I guess we are finally getting our Indian Summer, I just hope that it doesn’t end before next weekend. I want to go riding!!!

I’m so glad that when I moved into my place that I had the good sense to hook up with Direct TV. My parents have Satellite Directv and they referred me, which got me a $100 rebate and them an extra $100 in their pocket as well for the referral. That was a nice chunk of change for both of us to enjoy.

DirectTV has great programming packages available, starting at $29.99. There is no equipment to buy and no start up costs, which adds up to a great savings. Their customer service has always been top notch and my bills are always right on the money. I’ve never had to call with a problem or issue with my monthly bill. And I really like that I can pay my bill online, real quick and easy like. I try and pay as many of my monthly bills online, it saves me time and money big time.

Now that football season has arrived I’m thrilled with the sports package that I have on my account. Sports are a big to do in my life and I entertain friends a lot when I’m not working. So my big screen HD TV is a big asset and keeps my friends coming back each and every week.
