As you know, my mother asked me to check into some of the Oceanfront Myrtle Beach Hotels that are so well known these days for their golfing packages. I spend a lot of time online, so I was elected to find the perfect Oceanfront Myrtle Beach Hotel, which really isn’t too big of a deal, but right now I certainly have my hands full with all that the holidays entail. I can’t believe that Christmas is only two weeks away, so many things to get done in so little time!

At the family Christmas dinner I would like to be able to give them some information to chew on, so this afternoon was spent surfing the Net and looking at the various Myrtle Beach Hotel web sites that I have come up with. So far the SeaSide, which is located in North Myrtle Beach sounds wonderful. They have a newly constructed condominium that they are advertising. I’ve sent them an email asking for a bit more information so that I can pass what I have found on to the family. It will be a blast having the whole family (or at least those who can attend) together at the beach this summer, something to really look forward to.

It is amazing what we, as parents, and especially we mothers, give up and sacrifice for our children. Not to mention what we give up for the rest of our families. Just a passing thought that needed to be expressed but not elaborated on. At least not here and certainly not now, sigh……

My mother really wants to buy me something for Christmas that I will enjoy and use a lot. Not something for the house mind you, but something more personal. It has been a challenge to come up with any suggestions for her, until today. I had a bit of extra time on my hands this afternoon and started browsing the Internet, where I stumbled onto a great site (Zappos.com) that has the sweetest insulated winter boots, made by Columbia, that I’ve seen in a very long time and that I think I would look pretty darn good in. Check them out!

I’m thinking that these are right in the price range of what my mother had in mind, so I sent her an email with the link to Zappos.com. Here they offer free shipping, both ways, with a  365 Day Return Policy, as well as accepting Pay Pal, which both my mother and I use quite a bit these days especially online. That’s about the only personal item that I can think of to tell her. I mean I can always use a new blender or a vacuum cleaner, or even a new hair blow dryer, but she is insisting that it not be for the house. But that’s cool, I’ve needed and wanted a new pair of boots for a few years now.

I found a great 2010 Wall Calendar to put on the kitchen wall today. It is loaded with tons of great pictures of muscle cars! And I love my muscle cars! My favorite is the 1967 Ford Mustang, it could be though because the 67 Mustang was my first car and I’ve always held the Mustang close to my heart since then.

Every year our town has a parade, my favorite part being the marching bands (I love hearing those drums) and the muscle cars that are participating each and every year. The whole town fills up with old, classic cars and motorcycles during that time of year, it’s a sight to be seen.

My sister loves items from jk adams, so it isn’t hard for me to come up birthday and Christmas gifts to present her with each and every year. I like their products as well, may sister and I went in together on a order last year and we both purchased jk adams pot racks for our kitchen, for mother’s day. It was as good as an excuse as we could come up with at the time! We love the pot racks, they have managed to help declutter our kitchens a bit and we are both grateful for that.

Last Christmas I ordered her a jk adams wine rack that she had been hinting at for so very long. It was funny because she had in turn bought me a jk adams spice rack. Christmas morning was a hoot seeing what we had gotten each other. I love my sister dearly, she is like my best friend. We have so much in common (not just family related type stuff) and really rely on each other so very much. Our tastes are fairly similar and we always find something to laugh about when we talk each day. I thank God for her.

So this Christmas I used my PayPal account and order her a really nice wooden JK adams cutting board and I’m curious to see what she gets me in return this year. JK Adams has great wood products that I’m sure anyone would enjoy, check them out sometime.
