I understand that our credit cards bill are looking a bit different this month due to some new laws that just went into effect. I thought that the last one that I opened looked a little different, but I basically tossed it into the every growing pile of bills that I need to tend to this weekend. Today’s mail brought me two more credit card bills that I had a chance to look at for a bit. The major difference is that they are now showing you the options and the numbers needed to make a decision as to when to pay them off. An interesting feature, but really no big deal.

It is still possible for people to receive bad credit credit cards. You can even go online and find and compare credit card offers for credit cards for people with no credit history as well. There are online credit card application site that are very user friendly and allows you to take your time and make an educated decision as to what is best for your particular credit card situation.

I can’t wait to get my tax refund check in the mail. I intend to use the majority of it to pay off and/or down a few of my credit cards that have the highest interest rate. The one with 29% interest rate is the first one to go, it’s crazy how the rates on my cards have creeped up the past year or so.

Today on the way home I was coming around a corner at 35 mph and hit a patch of Black Ice. I ended up with the rear end off the side of the road for just a bit before I managed to get it back under control right before the SUV, that was coming at me, hit me head on. The look on the guys face as we went by each other will stick in my mind for a very long time!

Well I finally got my taxes done today. I took off a few hours early from work and stopped by on the way home. It didn’t take too awfully long and I’m happy to say that I am getting back a nice chunk of change this year. It was well worth keeping all the receipts and all the other paperwork that makes all the deductions worth while. So now I have to figure out the best way to utilize this new found cash that I’ll be getting in a few weeks since I filed electronically.

I’m first going to check out some of the Myrtle Beach Golf Vacations that I’ve seen advertised at ttimesonly.com. I really enjoy golf and just never get much extra time to play these past few years. I googled “Myrtle Beach Golf” and found this great site that offers great prices for hotels and golf packages. It is pretty user friendly and seems to be a one stop shop site for Golf Packages Myrtle Beach style and is giving me something to look forward to.

This has been one heck of a long hard winter, everyone is ready for spring. Everyone but the snow removal companies that is. They have been making big bucks these past few months, that’s for sure. And we are looking at getting another round come Monday. Anyway looking at these Myrtle Beach Golf Packages this evening has really given me something to look forward to, giving me a light that is needed to see at the end of this long dark tunnel called winter.

I myself use the F word a whole lot more than I should. One of my New Year’s resolutions was to try and curb my language a bit. But these couple of pictures just cracked me up and I had to post them here. Makes even my worst days seem like a piece of cake compared to these troubles!

It all started with a friend at work wanted to earn a $50 refer a friend program that Firstrade.com is offering for people that are interested in Online Trading. She got a nice chunk of change back from her taxes and has found an interest in Stock Trading and is looking to turn as many fellow co workers onto her Online Broker as possible.

Now I have to admit that I really don’t know much about IRA Accounts or Mobile Trading but I’m certainly open to learning ways to make an extra buck or two, so I’ve consented to learning about these various ways of investing. My brother-in-law has dabbled a bit in this field so I’ve asked him to give me a bit of advice as well.  He and my sister will be coming over for dinner this week end and I plan on picking his brain while he is picking at the roasted chicken that I plan to serve them.

With times being so hard these days, with the economy in such a turmoil we need to be creative in the different ways to make our money work for us, so wish me luck and I’ll keep you posted when I find out more. And let’s pray that we don’t get any more snow for a while, cause I’m so done with all of this winter weather.
