I have a little area in my basement that I have set up to use as a bar. I have a nice sized TV down there, an excellent sound system in place and a ton of great music just waiting to be played and heard. During football season it gets a lot of use, but the rest of the year it pretty much remains empty, but I’d like to change that so I’m doing a few things down there to get it up to speed and my first purchase is going to be a nice hanging wine glass rack that I found online at glassstemwareracks.com. They have a great selection of wine glass racks for sale, at really decent prices.

They offer a “No Hassle Return Policy” which is so important for online shoppers like myself. And I like that they accept PayPal, more places need to do that.  Not all of us have charge cards and Pay Pal is being used by more and more people each day and I’m going to use mine for some nice glass racks.  God I can’t wait for football season to come back around this fall! Maybe the Redskins will have a decent season this year.

I’ve always had at least one cat in the house. I’ve never been much on dogs, but all types of animals are dear to my heart. The Internet is full of the funniest photos of all types of animals and I am always on the look for new photos with cats in them. This is my latest find.

3 cats

 1. Of course I look familiar! I was here just last week cleaning your carpets, painting your shutters, or delivering your new refrigerator.

2. Hey, thanks for letting me use the bathroom when I was working in your yard last week. While I was in there, I unlatched the back window to make my return a little easier.

3.. Love those flowers. That tells me you have taste … and taste means there are nice things inside. Those yard toys your kids leave out always make me wonder what type of gaming system they have.

4. Yes, I really do look for newspapers piled up on the driveway. And I might leave my pizza flyer (leftover from last week) in your front door to see how long it takes you to remove it.

5. If it snows while you’re out of town, get a neighbor to create car and foot tracks into the house. Virgin drifts in the driveway are a dead giveaway.

6. If decorative glass is part of your front entrance, don’t let your alarm company install the control pad where I can see if it’s set. That makes it too easy.

7. A good security company alarms the window over the sink. And the windows on the second floor, which often access the master bedroom-and your jewelry. It’s not a bad idea to put motion detectors up there too.

8. It’s raining, you’re fumbling with your umbrella, and you forget to lock your door-understandable. But understand this: I don’t take a day off because of bad weather.

9. I always knock first. If you answer, I’ll ask for directions somewhere or offer to clean your gutters. (Don’t take me up on it..)

10. Do you really think I won’t look in your sock drawer? I always check dresser drawers, the bedside table, and the medicine cabinet.

11. Here’s a helpful hint: I almost never go into kids’ rooms.

12. You’re right: I won’t have enough time to break into that safe where you keep your valuables. But if it’s not bolted down, I’ll take it with me.

13. A loud TV or radio can be a better deterrent than the best alarm system. If you’re reluctant to leave your TV on while you’re out of town, you can buy a $35 device that works on a timer and simulates the flickering glow of a real television. (Find it at faketv.com.)

14. Sometimes, I carry a clipboard. Sometimes, I dress like a lawn guy, and carry a rake. I do my best to never, ever, look like a crook..

15. The two things I hate most: loud dogs and nosy neighbors.

16. I’ll break a window to get in, even if it makes a little noise. If your neighbor hears one loud sound, he’ll stop what he’s doing and wait to hear it again. If he doesn’t hear it again, he’ll just go back to what he was doing. It’s human nature.

17. I’m not complaining, but why would you pay all that money for a fancy alarm system and leave your house without setting it?

18. I love looking in your windows. I’m looking for signs that you’re home, and for flat screen TVs or gaming systems I’d like. I’ll drive or walk through your neighborhood at night, before you close the blinds, just to pick my targets.

19. Avoid announcing your vacation on your Facebook page. It’s easier than you think to look up your address.

20. To you, leaving that window open just a crack during the day is a way to let in a little fresh air. To me, it’s an invitation.

21. If you don’t answer when I knock, I try the door. Occasionally, I hit the jackpot, and walk right in.

I’m getting excited about spring coming in another month or so. If we ever stop getting these horrible snow storms I’ll be one happy camper. We are in the middle of one heck of a storm right now, they are saying anywhere from 2 to 4 feet can be expected, with yet another storm coming next week, ugh…………I’ve so had my fill of snow this winter!

I have been anxiously waiting for this spring. I found the most wonderful window flower boxes that I picked up real cheap and can’t wait for the stores to start putting out the seed packets for planting. I want to have a real brilliant display of flowers around the place. I’ve always enjoyed the look of window plant boxes on people’s homes, the house that I grew up in had window boxes that my mother was so proud of planting each spring and summer. There is just something about a window box full of color that really brightens up the place and I’m ready for my place to have that certain touch added to it.

I always have a nice vegetable garden and a few flowers, plants, bushes and trees that pop out their beautiful blossoms for me to enjoy each year. I can’t wait to get my hands in the dirt once again, it seems like forever since we have had a nice warm and dry day. I really don’t like the month of February one bit other than the fact that it means that spring is right around the corner. But this year the groundhog indicates that we won’t be seeing anything for at least another 6 weeks, arg…………

OK I usually shy away from things involving pictures and photos on the computer. But a co worker showed me a website, en.picjoke.com, that allows you to upload your photo and make a lot of funny and exciting effects in less than one minute. We had a few laughs at work playing with their photo effect online with some of the photos that we had on our workstations and I thought that I’d try it at home as well with some of the pictures that I have saved on my laptop.

I have plenty of photos on my computer and they have plenty of photo frame templates and online photo frames that I played around with and just had to share and have a few laughs with my sister when she came over last night with some groceries that she had picked up for me. We are expecting some pretty harsh weather in the next couple of days, so that was really awesome that she thought of me enough to bring a few essentials over for me.

She stayed for over an hour, which was cool, we had a lot to catch up on, we always have so much fun together and share many laughs, which I just adore. We learn and share a lot of stuff that we find on the computer as well. I don’t know what I’d do without my sister, she is also my best friend and someone that I can trust my life with, no matter what. You can’t say that about many people these days now can you?
