I’ve heard much about the Walden University’s online degree programs that are helping so many people get their degrees which ultimately enables them to make the “big” bucks. In these past few darken years of being stuck right smack dab in a major Depression the “big” bucks is what we are all striving for. In order to learn about Walden I spent some time checking them out online, I found that at WaldenU.edu that they have a very intensive website that took some time for me to absorb. You gotta remember, I just barely made it out of High School. College was never really in the picture for me, back in those days. All my mother wanted me to do was to become a secretary and marry the rich boss, she never really got over the fact that I ended up in the food and beverage industry, a bar wench.

Anyway, I’m thinking of getting into the Social Services field since I have a good heart and know how to talk and deal with people. I think that I am a compassionate human being that enjoys assisting people in any way that I can, been known to literally give the shirt off of my back to some one that needs it more than I do. Anyone that is dealing with people in need most definitely require a HUGE dose of compassion and unfortunately what I have found from personal experience and from thousands of horror stories that I have heard from friends, family and my bar customers, is that the majority of these “professionals” are seriously lacking any type of compassion along with a lot of other qualifications that I think are necessary for this type of career. I think anyone that chooses a career (any career really) should enjoy it to a certain extent and not in it just for the money.

I like to think that I help a lot of people while tending the bar, but the tip jar is rarely flowing over from them all. Knowing that I could be doing the same thing and was guarenteed to go home on payday with a sum that would not only pay the rent on a house of my own as well as the utilities, insurance premiums, taxes, and keep gas, oil and decent tires on the car, well it would be awsome. But at the end of the day if I look in the mirror and like what I see because of what I have done for somebody that day that really effected their lives that day well that is just be the ultimate high.

Had a surprise waiting for me down in the basement today when I went down with a huge arm load of dirty laundry to load into the washing machine. One foot away from the washer and dryer was a little black snake with a very bright yellow ring around it’s neck! I do not like snakes, they creep me out and scare me something awful. My Dad isn’t home for the weekend so I couldn’t holler for him to come down and take care of it so I looked around to find something to try and keep it contained and came up with a small bathroom type waste basket and carefully placed in over it and then put a heavy tool box on top of that to keep it weighted down, giving it no way to escape from there, at least that is what I’m hoping for!

After securing the critter I immediately got upstairs and got on the computer and looked up what type of snake it is. I knew that it was a Ringneck, but wasn’t sure if it was dangerous and thank goodness it isn’t, so I am thankful for that. Now I just wish Dad would get home and take care of the situation.

Back in the 80′s Belinda Carlisle was one hot ticket. My favorite song on the radio was “Mad About You’ done by her. I found it last night on YouTube. It had me bouncing around the media room and the kitchen, feeling good about life. Music is so good for the soul!

I love how Facebook has helped me reconnect with so many friends I used to have in the high school days. So many of us lost touch over the years, and I was not able to attend the last official reunion. But now I am finding several people who I liked a lot, and several of them have married or remarried so their last names are different now.

One of my best girlfriends from junior high school just popped up on Facebook and I’m trying to catch up with everything she has been doing. From her profile, it looks like she is married and has an adopted daughter. They’ve moved to Montana and she is working for the county’s agricultural department.

I have always been a little concerned about living in a remote area, but she assured me that an alarm system from home security butte gives her and Bobby the peace of mind at night while they sleep but also during the day while they are away working their jobs. The alarm system notifies police and her by phone if anything happens, and so far they have not had any issues at all. Funny, but I never realized that some people have to take steps to protect their homes from not only humans who might try to break in, but also from bears.

Of course, when you live that far out in a rural area, cable TV is not an option for hundreds of thousands of people. So to get TV programming, they found www.localtv-satellite.com to subscribe to a satellite package and this works out for them great.

It was so very cool to find her on Facebook – with them in Montana, its not like I would ever run into either one of them in the local grocery store!

New homes are easy to come by in this market, so many of my clients are younger than ever before. These younger generation buyers don’t always know the best things to ask at closings so I do my best to lead them through the process effectively. Sometimes they ask me questions I don’t know the answer to especially since I’m a bit older, so recently when someone asked me about mobile internet I had to defer the question to a college. I hated that feeling so that night I went online and got some MORE INFO for my own reference. The next time anyone asks me anything about wimax or broadband or 4G I’m going to be ready! From what I learned, this kind of internet sounds like a really good solution for a lot of homebuyers and I’m even considering ordering it myself. I like to be as prepared as possible since my business is my creditability. There’s nothing worse than a real estate agent that knows less about the industry than you do!
