It seems that a good amount of people are using their tax returns to purchase new cars and taking advantage of the stimulus package that has been extended. My sister and her husband are buying a chevy Volt. My cousin is looking seriously at a nice for fusion hybrid, which I think is pretty darn cool. They have always been Ford people and I don’t think they will ever change in that area. We are creatures of habit.

At work people are using their down time and going online looking at various new cars. The gal that sits next to me is going crazy over the new nissan rogue, I expect to be hearing soon if her husband will approve and to see her driving into the employee parking lot with her brand new car at any time.

Myself, I’d be checking into the hyundai genesis. Check this one out that I found online earlier. Man, wouldn’t I look good behind the wheel of this pretty piece of 2010 metal! A girl can dream can’t she?

I am sending information about The Orchid Recovery Center for Women to a gal that I used to work with years ago at the Insurance Company that I worked for many years ago. She has since moved to Florida, we kept in touch pretty much via emails every now and then. I am very worried about her. She and I were considered the “party gals” of the office, we did get into some pretty crazy things back then I have to admit, but than was then and this is now. I’ve settled down one heck of a lot, but she on the other hand seems to have kept on going “full speed ahead” as they say and I think she needs some help.

I’ve done a bit of research on the Internet about Recovery Center’s in her part of Florida and found The Orchid Recovery Center to be the one that I would consider, if the need be. I spent a good amount of time reading The Orchid Center Charity Blog and am urging her to do the same, it had some cool things to say that I think she might appreciate.

I’m hoping that I’m not going to piss her off. One has to be careful on how they approach folks on subjects like this, I just want to help in any way that I can. That’s one thing that I’m good at, or so I’m told from time to time.

I just got this email from my friend in South Carolina. I’m assuming that this is a true announcement, but one never knows these days. Guess I’ll wait to hear more about them, possibly on the evening news.

New Michelin Tires… Absolutely SCARY looking…

Look for ‘em in August. These tires are made in Greenville, South Carolina , USA …

SEE THROUGH TIRES

Radical new tire design by Michelin. The next generation of tires. They had a pair at the Philadelphia car show.

philly show

Yes, those are ’spoke’ like connections to the inner part of the tire from the outside tread ‘wrap!’ The next picture shows how odd it looks in motion…

2nd tire

Makes you wonder how the ride feels doesn’t it?

3rd tire

These tires are airless and are scheduled to be out on the market very soon. The bad news for law enforcement is that spike strips will not work on these.

Just think of the impact on existing technology:

A. no more air valves…

B. no more air compressors at gas stations…

C. no more repair kits…

D. no more flats…

These are actual pictures taken at the South Carolina plant of Michelin.

And they got a cost of living raise and the seniors did not get a raise on their benefits. But it looks like    they needed it more, doesn’t it to you?  But we keep sending them back so it is no ones fault but our own.

Should we buy them larger screen computers – or – a ticket home, permanently?

This is one of their THREE DAY WORK WEEKS that we all pay for.  I am ready to start from the beginning by voting out all elected officials and not letting any of them stay in office for more than two terms.  No more lifelong health care, retirement, voting in their own pay raises, taking perks on our taxes, etc.

The guy sitting in the row in front of these two….  he’s on Facebook, and the guy behind Hennessy is checking out the baseball scores.

These are the folks that couldn’t get the budget out by Oct. 1,  and are about to control your health care, cap and trade, and the list goes on….

KEEP THIS GOING, DON’T LET IT STOP WITH YOU!

I didn’t know that there were so many choices involved of such wonderful Myrtle Beach Accommodations. As I posted before I expect to get some money back from my taxes and I’d like to take some off and stay at one of the nice Myrtle Beach Resorts that Myrtle Beach is so well known for. I figured by going online I’d be able to take my time and compare some of the nice of the Myrtle Beach Accomodations, but I had no idea what I was getting into.  There are tons of them that I’m finding, it may take longer than I first imagined, but that’s all right I have plenty of time.

I have been talking with a few friends, seeing if any of them would like to join me this summer at the beach. I’m putting the word out right now, while most of my friends are just now doing their taxes as well and can ear mark their money if they decide they want to go. In the mean time I’m steady looking online to find the perfect Myrtle Beach Resort to enjoy for a nice long summer week end.
