My all time favorite TV shows is [scrubs]. I remember when it first aired on TV, I wasn’t impressed even one bit with their “slap stick” effects, but after watching a few of the episodes it kinda grew on me and from there I just really enjoyed it when ever I got a chance to watch it. The characters are crazy as hell, but they keep me laughing each and every time I watch it.

Now that the economy is in such turmoil a lot of people have turned to the medical profession and we are seeing a lot of folks wearing the medical scrubs, much like the scrub sets that most of the characters on [scrubs) are sporting. When I was growing up all the doctors were wearing just the regular ordinary and plain white lab coats that are becoming a thing of the past.

I’m so glad to see that these medical uniforms have come a long way. You can find all kinds of medical uniforms, scrubs and the like at http://www.blueskyscrubs.com/categories/Scrubs/Scrubs-for-Women/.  Liking what you are wearing can make a difference on how your day goes and we want our medical folks in as good of a mood as we can get them in. Right?

I’m glad that Halloween is on a Sunday this year. It makes it so much easier when it falls on a weekend, don’t you think so? My kids are getting a bit old for trick or treating but they are still wanting to wear a costume and attend the parties that are held at school and church.

I’ll be staying home handing out candy to the neighborhood kids that come up each year. Hope it is nice weather for them, it usually isn’t raining, but it can get chilly when the sun goes down and all the ghosts and goblins come out!

My daughter is always coming up with something that just seems to blow my mind, but I guess that is what most tweens do to their parents, sigh. Her latest issue is with the under garments that she is currently wearing, she is complaining that she no longer wants to wear the underwear that I have been buying for her since she stopped wearing diapers and she now wants me to buy her boxers, like the one’s that her best friend is now wearing.

I can’t imagine how uncomfortable this girl is wearing boxers under her tight fitting jeans. I have tried to explain to my daughter that her jeans will not fit the same if she starts wearing boxers but she has a strong will (wonder where she got that from?) and a mind of her own and of course I am just her mother so what do I know right?

Guess I pick her up a couple of pairs these weekend and see how they feel to her and take it from there. I’ll bet we will need to go shopping for jeans that will accommodate all that extra material that will be bunching up inside.

I think it is so much fun to watch the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” on my satellite tv that I got after learning more about DirectTV HD DVR Prices information on the Bravo network. This show is truly one of the best that Bravo has to offer. It is a reality show that depicts the lives of housewives living in Beverly Hills. While the show may seem to be about the drama of these wives’ lives, which is surely is, a high emphasis is also placed on the fashion choices of these women.

It is so fascinating to see how much the women shop on this show! I always love seeing the types of stores that the Beverly Hills housewives shop at, as well as what kinds of clothes they choose to wear out. I think it is hilarious to see forty-year old women wearing four inch heels to do some everyday shopping or walking around the town. Yet, women do this every single day. These women are truly troopers for how seriously they take their fashion! I also find it inspiring to see older women still rocking a youthful appearance. These women have fun with fashion, which is one of the subtle messages they convey to other audiences. These women have a passion for fashion and they want to share it with others through this show. Overall, I love this show for the many fashion tips I get from it!

I had to take off work early today to take my daughter to her doctor this afternoon. Her dad couldn’t get away from his job and she was running a pretty high fever for 2 days now and with tomorrow being Saturday, her doctor’s office isn’t open on the weekends, I didn’t want to chance her getting any worse and one of us having to take her to the E.R. My kid never gets sick Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8am and 5pm.

Although they (the doctor’s office) have horrible office hours, they are wonderful in many other ways. I like that they are right next to the hospital and the other medical buildings and offices that we end up going to for various specialists and testings. When we end up needing a bit to eat, about the only people you see at the McDonald’s, in that part of town, are wearing medical uniforms and are employeed in the huge medical center or one of the surrounding buildings. It’s so nice to finally see that it is OK to wear something other than the same old plain white uniforms for healthcare providers that we all grew up around in our day. More and more of our medical professionals are sporting medical uniforms in various patterns and a nice and growing variety of colors, which I think is a wonderful idea, one that is well over due. I mean who would want to wear the same old thing, day after day, week after week, month after month and God forbid – year after year! An unthinkable concept.

Anyway, my daughterr will be fine in a few days. No anti biotics this time around, which is fine with me. Those horse pills are a pain to try and get her to swallow for 10 days in a row, what a pain. Besides being big in size, the price tag for those puppies aren’t cheap, I can tell you that.
