I had to take off work early today to take my daughter to her doctor this afternoon. Her dad couldn’t get away from his job and she was running a pretty high fever for 2 days now and with tomorrow being Saturday, her doctor’s office isn’t open on the weekends, I didn’t want to chance her getting any worse and one of us having to take her to the E.R. My kid never gets sick Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8am and 5pm.

Although they (the doctor’s office) have horrible office hours, they are wonderful in many other ways. I like that they are right next to the hospital and the other medical buildings and offices that we end up going to for various specialists and testings. When we end up needing a bit to eat, about the only people you see at the McDonald’s, in that part of town, are wearing medical uniforms and are employeed in the huge medical center or one of the surrounding buildings. It’s so nice to finally see that it is OK to wear something other than the same old plain white uniforms for healthcare providers that we all grew up around in our day. More and more of our medical professionals are sporting medical uniforms in various patterns and a nice and growing variety of colors, which I think is a wonderful idea, one that is well over due. I mean who would want to wear the same old thing, day after day, week after week, month after month and God forbid – year after year! An unthinkable concept.

Anyway, my daughterr will be fine in a few days. No anti biotics this time around, which is fine with me. Those horse pills are a pain to try and get her to swallow for 10 days in a row, what a pain. Besides being big in size, the price tag for those puppies aren’t cheap, I can tell you that.

My sister-in-law, Linda, is enjoying her new job in a near by and very busy pediatric doctor’s practice, that she went back to school and worked so hard to achieve. She is such an upbeat and happy person, who has the perfect personality to be working with kids day in and day out, along with the other people working in this large and still ever growing kid friendly medical practice.

One thing that she was concerned about was the issue of having to wear a uniform to work each day.  Linda is a total fashion and accessories freak and has more clothes then one woman would ever need in her life time and would be miserable having to wear only uniforms at work. So she was happy to find that the other woman working there have turned her onto a great website that offers a a nice variety of scrub clothing that they have been ordering from lately and are thrilled with the quality of their products as well as their prices. Since Linda is so busy with her new full time job and still has the kids and my brother to deal with, shopping online is very appealing to her.

I’m so happy that she has found a great new career with some nice people and I wish her all the luck in the world. I also look forward to hearing some funny and entertaining stories that I’m sure she will come up with in time about the people and the place that she is now spending so much of her time with.

Shopping online is the only way to go, as far as I’m concerned. I can’t wait until they bring online grocery shopping to my area. Some of the food stores are offering it, but there is service charge involved and I don’t like service charges. The whole point of shopping online is to save money, so to have some fee attached isn’t my idea of saving money. So until then I’ll keep trudging to the grocery store to make my food purchases, at least I don’t live way out in the boonies and most of the grocery stores are only a few minutes away in good weather and good traffic patterns.

If you have access to the Internet and a charge or debit card you can take advantage of some really good deals that are being offered online. One site that I frequent quite often is become.com, they have a ton of good buys located there and are very user friendly.

I’ve been looking for a nice leather backpack purse for when the weather breaks and I find myself more and more on the back of a Harley. Carrying a purse while on a bike can be a real drag, but I find the need for most of what I carry in my purse so having the convenience of putting everything into a backpack makes things a whole lot easier all the way around. So while looking for the perfect backpack I ran across a nice looking cropped denim jacket that would look great while on the back of the many Harley’s that I find myself riding each season.

Wearing flip flops is a major no no when riding a motorcycle but I do love that they have come back in style these past few years and I found the cutest pair teva flip flops that I just have to have and have placed an order today while in the shopping mood and sitting in front of my laptop.

Blue just so happens to be my favorite color and these are just too cute to pass up.

OK, spring is right around the corner and I’m more than ready to start getting ready for the outdoor activities that I’ve been neglecting due to the nasty weather that this winter has brought us. I’m looking online at getting some new Sneakers or possibly a pair of quality Running Shoes and start running and exercising. I’m not getting any younger and I really need to step up to the plate and start taking my health a bit more seriously. The big “Five O” is fast approaching and it’s up to me to keep myself in the best shape possible.

I have a bike that I have been meaning to take down and out of the garage, but haven’t managed yet in the last 2 years, sigh……I even had a brand new pair of Bike Shoes  and Running Shoes that were bought and given to me as a Christmas present a few years back and they are still in the box in my closet. I love Shoes and have a closet full at my disposal and I’m always on the look out for new ones to adorn my feet with! I’ve always loved shoes, used to drive me mother crazy. When I was married I used to get all kinds of crap from my husband about my love affair with shoes.

Anyway online shoe shopping is a great way to find some wonderful variety of shoes. If they don’t fit or look right I just return them and move on.  Shopwiki.com is a great site to use in order to find all types of products, I use them quite a lot. Online shopping is the only way to go for me these days and is becoming more popular each and every day all around the world, amazing isn’t it?

I used to drive my mother totally crazy with my addiction to shoes while growing up and living under her roof. My mother wasn’t one to have a large selection of foot wear, she probably owns less than a dozen different types of shoes and is content with what is all ready in her closet. Me, on the other hand, has a whole closet full of shoes and boots and am always on the look out for new ones to add to my ever growing collection that I have been working on since I was a pre teen. And now that the Internet has turned into such a valuable tool in finding products of all makes and models I can shop for new shoes without ever having to leave the house and then they are delivered right to my door!

Buying shoes online can be tricky so I found a great “shoes buying guide” that has been helpful and would like to pass the link on to my readers here at http://www.shopwiki.co.uk/wiki/Shoes. With so many bargains being found online these days I take all the advice and guidance that I can get in order to get the most bang for my buck and a girl can’t have too many shoes now can she?
