Too bad that May Day isn’t celebrated with the May Pole anymore. What a fun way to celebrate the start of a wonderful warm spring season, the month of May is definitely my favorite of all.

Cinco de Mayo however is a huge event, it is most unfortunate that this Boston Bombing scare is going to impact a lot of the usual celebrations and festivities this year, sigh…..

It seems that when I get the yogadirect yoga ball that I ordered last week online, I will have just about everything that I think that I need to start taking the yoga classes that I have been seriously eyeballing for some time now. The new Wellness Center in town has become the place to go for so many health and fitness needs and I don’t want to be left out. I all ready do yoga each morning before heading out the door. But I am seriously limited with time and space, so I need to get some type of routine going on, as well as learn some new things, instead of doing the same ol’ same ol’ all the time.

I know that you can get all kinds of yoga information on DVDs as well as online. But I think I would enjoy a class along with other people instead of always in my tiny little living room. The carpet needs to be cleaned and I just keep putting that task off due to other issues needing tending to since Spring is finally here and in full swing. So much to do inside and out, this time of the year.

Just the thought of all that the cheap line 6 backtrack portable digital recorder has done for my cousin puts a smile on my face. I didn’t even realize that such a devise existed until I got the Christmas present wish list with his name marked next to mine. Each Christmas my eldest sister organizes the family gift giving ritual, not an easy job considering how extended and dysfunctional my family has become. I’m glad that she has the yearly task and not me.

I love the fact that you can plug this digital recording devise to your guitar and records every note that you play so that you can play it back and hear what it sounded like at your convenience. Now how cool is that?

I remember the band by the name of KISS, they really made a statement and how the public went wild about it, they certainly made a big name for themselves and became extremely rich and famous with their hard rock, make-up and special effects that mainly consisted of some sort of fire. And then there is Gene Simmons’s tongue……..

I used to like to watch the reality show that he and his wife and his kids starred in, I think it was called Family Jewels. It’s been so long that I can’t even remember the darned name of the thing, guess it wasn’t all that impressive then.

Just got an email from a girl I worked with years ago, we still keep in touch once in awhile on the computer, she was a really nice person to work with and I’m glad that we have remained friendly and in touch.Seems her husband received a job offer that sounds too wonderful an opportunity for them to let slid by. I’m excited for her because the job would entail them to moving to New York and she is originally from that area so it won’t be as stressful as moving to a unknown area like when they moved here in the 90′s.

She tells me that she the new company suggested a few New York real estate agents to assist in their relocation, and she seems pleased with the suggestions that they have come up with so far. It is over a 6 hour long drive to that area, and they will be traveling back and forth for awhile until they find the perfect spot. I’m glad they don’t have kids to deal with yet, it will make it easier, she tells me that once they settle in she intends on trying to start a family. What a great place to grow up in, New York, there is so much to see and do, always something going on 24/7, I am envious of them.

I hope she keeps her promise of keeping in touch, the distance factor shouldn’t matter due to each of us having computers and all. Every day I am thankful for the computer and the Internet, it really has made life easier in so many ways, and keeping in touch with old friends and family members, is the greatest benefit of all – as far as I’m concerned!
