I have stumbled onto an interesting concept today called video classifieds, which allows you to attach a video to your ad, I thought that was pretty cool. The web-site I was browsing around at is listasaurus.com and it has quite a lot to offer if you take the time to check it all out. What caught my attention was on their home page it states: “Get Paid To List Your Ads and that certain ad categories are eligible for cash rewards-we pay you for listing with us!” And I love the name of the company Listasaurus of which the definition is: 1. A dinosaur that loves to collect things and list them on-line. 2. Any dino who keeps his community from being extinct by supporting local merchants and individuals. Sounds interesting and cute doesn’t it.I cornered and showed a friend the site and he asked me to email the link to his email so that he could get a better look at it, he loves these types of sites, he is always buying and selling things on eBay and a few others too. He liked the idea of being able to attach a video to an item being listed, it would be a very useful tool indeed.

They are advertising that auctions are coming soon, that is something that I have never participated in in real life or online, but I’d like to try sometime either way. So I’ll keep checking back and see when they get that up and running and see what that is all about.

Last Friday I stopped at TGIF Fridays for a drink after work and met the nicest couple at the bar. We decided to share a booth and sat and talked and drank for at least two hours. I know one thing for sure, that I was getting a bit tipsy towards the end. Anyway, turns out they know many of the same crowd that I do. They are a very open and honestly pleasant couple and we hit it off rather well. They invited me to come to a party they were planning, still a month or so off, and that they had intended to invite many of the same friends we share as well. Of course I accepted, being a bit of a party girl myself still.

The kicker of it is that they are having the party out on a lake on their houseboat! Can you believe it? I can’t wait to go, I have always wanted to go on a houseboat. I remember as a little girl I used to fantasize about living on one, sort of like in the movies as in the old black and white, made for TV movie, about “Tammy and the Professor”. It should be fun, I’ll let you know how it turns out.

I have never been one to get into paying my bills on line, but with the cost of postage and the amount of time saved, not to mention the paper waste, I have been getting in-to more and more. The one problem I have is trying to get onto the computer, unless I get up at 5:00am it will be a struggle, along with the phones ringing, doorbells ringing, a cat or dog needing to go outside, there isn’t enough of me or the PC to go around.

I wish I had my own room and my own PC, I would go in and lock the world away. I guess just about every woman feels that way at times. I mean having her own room for what ever reason she needs it for other than a place to be alone, unbothered.

I found a web site Salonpas.us that sells a neat product called the Salonpas Air Spray Pain Relief, doesn’t that sound cool. It advertises fast, effective relief of Acute Pain for all athletes. It states that it offers a strong cooling sensation which is a benefit in its self. It is very beneficial for knee and calf pain use after sports or exercise and is really popular for folks that run marathons. The cooling effect of the spray shows immediate drop in skin temperature of the area sprayed which brings relief to were it aches.

You can order it online or I noticed that it is sold in numerous stores located across the U.S. I wonder if it would benefit my sore back, it comes in a spray, roll on and I even see that it comes in a patch, I will have to pick up some and try it out and see.

Getting all the spam and junk mail in our computer’s in box’s while having to deal with all the junk mail that comes with our daily U.S. mail each day is outrageous and very irritating to me.

It is a good thing that the city that we live in provides recycling, because most of the mail that we receive goes straight into the paper and cardboard recycling bin. The city pays for this recycling service the taxes that we pay into each year, which makes it a nice perk and makes the task of recycling a bit easier to swallow for most citizens.

We have two dogs in the house. Once in a while I’ll find a pile of poop or a puddle of dog pee and I have to tell you that it is becoming a challenge in determining which of the dogs have done the dirty deed of doing their business inside the house. I had a doggy door installed last Spring, so that they can go in and out at their leisure and that has worked wonders, for the most part. But like I said every now and then one of them is not using the doggy door and I’m getting frustrated with trying to figure which one is causing the mess. What a pain!

One of my good customers at the bar and grill that I work at just recently started a job at the biggest Advertising Agency in town. I am so excited for him since he is a single Dad and has been out of work for over a year now. Instead of him coming in and telling such horrible tales of woe he is now coming in with such positive and funny stories to share with us all.

It is interesting to see and here how today’s Advertising Agency employees have turned to the Internet for most of their work. The days of relying on the paper versions of the Yellow Pages and newspapers for the majority of their advertising are long gone. It’s all about going digital. Don’t get me wrong people are still using the old media ways only instead of the paper version they are going online to read and watch so it is a whole new world for the typical Advertising Agency and their clients.

While this particular guy has had some good news to share, he is quite alone in this area. There are still way too many people that are unemployed here in town and all across the country. It has been over 4 years now since our economy went spiraling downhill, I don’t think anyone really thought that we would still be in the horrible situation and there still doesn’t seem to be a light at the end of this long, lonely tunnel. So we will just keep trudging along as best as we can. Thank God for family and good friends to help ride out this massive storm.

I’ve heard much about the Walden University’s online degree programs that are helping so many people get their degrees which ultimately enables them to make the “big” bucks. In these past few darken years of being stuck right smack dab in a major Depression the “big” bucks is what we are all striving for. In order to learn about Walden I spent some time checking them out online, I found that at WaldenU.edu that they have a very intensive website that took some time for me to absorb. You gotta remember, I just barely made it out of High School. College was never really in the picture for me, back in those days. All my mother wanted me to do was to become a secretary and marry the rich boss, she never really got over the fact that I ended up in the food and beverage industry, a bar wench.

Anyway, I’m thinking of getting into the Social Services field since I have a good heart and know how to talk and deal with people. I think that I am a compassionate human being that enjoys assisting people in any way that I can, been known to literally give the shirt off of my back to some one that needs it more than I do. Anyone that is dealing with people in need most definitely require a HUGE dose of compassion and unfortunately what I have found from personal experience and from thousands of horror stories that I have heard from friends, family and my bar customers, is that the majority of these “professionals” are seriously lacking any type of compassion along with a lot of other qualifications that I think are necessary for this type of career. I think anyone that chooses a career (any career really) should enjoy it to a certain extent and not in it just for the money.

I like to think that I help a lot of people while tending the bar, but the tip jar is rarely flowing over from them all. Knowing that I could be doing the same thing and was guarenteed to go home on payday with a sum that would not only pay the rent on a house of my own as well as the utilities, insurance premiums, taxes, and keep gas, oil and decent tires on the car, well it would be awsome. But at the end of the day if I look in the mirror and like what I see because of what I have done for somebody that day that really effected their lives that day well that is just be the ultimate high.
