My first car was a 1967 Ford Mustang, god how I loved that car. She had a 287 under the hood, with a 3 speed on the floor and she could stomp all the other cars in a heart beat. She not only looked good and ran good, but she sounded good too. I got pulled over one time buy a State Cop who said that I had “glass packs” on her proceeded to crawl under her to see. Heck I didn’t even know what “glass packs” were back then. He did seem very disappointed that he didn’t find anything illegal on her and let me go on my merry way, thank goodness!

I ran across an interesting site the other evening that had all types of car and truck exhaust systems and  interesting exhaust tips listed, which I found to be of good reading quality and it reminded me of my run in with the law with my beloved Mustang, back in the good old days. I wish that I still had her. Once in a while I’ll see one some where that looks just like her and it brings back some really cool memories. Maybe one day I’ll find another 67 Ford Mustang that I can buy and I’ll be in Mustang heaven once again.

On the way home from work yesterday, I saw what I thought was a cow, but cows don’t jump and run by leaps and bounds, so then I thought it was a big black dog. Long story short as I came up closer, the darn thing got on it’s hind legs and stared me down, that is when I found out that it was a big black bear. How freaky is that?

I’ve been told that Google is going to be doing one of their sweeps soon. I have to say that I really don’t understand what all that entails and I don’t think that it really affects me much, but I’d love to learn what these sweeps are all about. As long as I can keep my blog going, I’m happy, I don’t care what Page Ranking my blog gets.

Insurance has become one heck of a huge industry, not only here in the U.S. of A. but all over the world. I have a good friend that moved to “The Land of Down Under” several years ago, I so glad to be able to say that we keep in contact pretty well via emails every couple of weeks or so. She always has such exciting news and stories to share in her emails and I always look forward to hearing from her. She sends me links to various sites in Australia to check out and I find them entertaining and interesting as well.

She is currently shopping for cheap funeral insurance, which threw me for a loop, funeral insurance isn’t something that people our age are generally looking into, but probably should be. You never know what will happen and when. She sent me a link to realinsurance.com.au, which is a well established insurance company there, so I took a gander at it for a bit of time last night. It is interesting to see the different types of insurance that they have to offer over there. I mean they have the typical home, auto and real life insurance policies to offer, as one would expect, but they also have Pay As You Drive car insurance, Bicycle insurance, Landlord’s insurance, which I thought was pretty cool.

I wish that we could talk on the phone, but neither one of us can afford those types of phone bills. I’d love to know if she has picked up an accent yet and would love to hear it. I’m sure it would make me giggle! She always had a cute voice to begin with, so I’d love to hear how she sounds now.

Getting all the spam and junk mail in our computer’s in box’s while having to deal with all the junk mail that comes with our daily U.S. mail each day is outrageous and very irritating to me.

It is a good thing that the city that we live in provides recycling, because most of the mail that we receive goes straight into the paper and cardboard recycling bin.  The city pays for this recycling service the taxes that we pay into each year, which makes it a nice perk and makes the task of recycling a bit easier to swallow for most citizens.
