They say that a lot more people are going to be on the road this year for the Memorial Day holiday weekend. It seems that people have cut back these past couple of years so much that they feel that they need and deserve this long weekend and are going for it like it’s now or never. Wish I had plans to do something fun and exciting, but it’s not in this year’s cards for this gal.
It’s pretty cool that you can go online to to search and select the type of helper that you need in so many aspects of our busy lives. For example, my brother is looking for some moving help for when he and his bride re locate in the summer. He Googled Santa Monica Movers and came up with a wonderful website that he has enlightened us all on with his latest email.
It seems that they can offer you an instant quote and you can learn all about the movers santa monica ca right online. You can read their profile as well as read previous reviews in order to make the right choice for your needs. It has a lot more to offer than just low cost movers santa monica for residential as well as commercial issues where you can find up to date information on all types of homeowner topics.
When you are making a long distance move, such as they are, you really can’t expect friends and family to help pitch in with the moving process as so many of us depend on when moving locally. It takes a special kind of people/business to offer good quality and affordable moving assistance from a company that has been around for a while.
It’s funny how my ex husband ended up selling his pick up truck because he was tired of people calling him asking him to help with such tasks. He traded it all in for a pretty cool SUV and couldn’t be happier with his decision. Although I can tell you that he never lifted a finger to help me out since we broke up, pick up truck or not! But that is another story for another time. In the mean time I wish my brother and his wife all the luck in the world when they arrive in their new home town in sunny California.
I can smell it in the air. We are all ready experiencing the April showers that we need for the May flowers and it’s only the beginning of April. But that is OK, anything is better than snow at this point. We are expected to get into the 70’s later this week, I’m all for that!
I’m itching to get my hands into the earth and start my gardens and really get into some heavy duty yard work. I enjoy working outside as long as isn’t it freezing outside. I have got some nice Decorative Planters that I want to get going soon that I found online a few months ago. The house that I grew up in had the nicest Window Box Planters in the neighborhood and I have wanted to start my own for a long time, so I’m excited about getting them all going and looking good for the up and coming season.
My mother was always so proud of her handy work outside of the house. I know that she will be proud to see that I’m taking the time to try and get my own house and yard in order. She gave me a very nice High End Planter for Christmas that I plan on placing on the front porch. I just haven’t decided which type of flower(s) that I want to plant there. I still have a little bit of time before having to make a decision. Maybe I’ll ask my mother for her opinion, she likes it when I do that!
Today I got some exciting as well as some sad news. One of my best friends, since childhood, is moving. Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited for her, she is moving out to the Orange county area in the southern part of beautiful and sunny California, which is totally awesome. It’s just that it is all the way across the country and I just wish I could go with her!
She is now busy online getting costa mesa movers estimates, trying to find the best costa mesa movers that will give her more bang for her hard earned buck. The Internet is a great resource for tasks just like this one. I’m only familiar with our Local Movers, so I can’t help her out there much. When I moved I just looked in the local Yellow Pages and found the Local Moving company with the biggest ad in the book, the Internet was just catching on and I didn’t use it that much back then. Now you can find costa mesa moving company quotes with just a few short key strokes on any computer hooked up to the Internet.
I guess one day maybe I’ll have enough money to be able to fly out there for a nice long visit. Lord knows I couldn’t handle a long drive that it would take to get out there. She is going to be real close to the beach, so that will be cool. I’ve never been to California before. Life is crazy, this just came out of no where. But I wish her all the luck in the world. I am totally grateful for all of the ways there are available to us in order to keep in touch until the day comes that we can see each other face to face some time in the future.
I’m getting excited about spring coming in another month or so. If we ever stop getting these horrible snow storms I’ll be one happy camper. We are in the middle of one heck of a storm right now, they are saying anywhere from 2 to 4 feet can be expected, with yet another storm coming next week, ugh…………I’ve so had my fill of snow this winter!
I have been anxiously waiting for this spring. I found the most wonderful window flower boxes that I picked up real cheap and can’t wait for the stores to start putting out the seed packets for planting. I want to have a real brilliant display of flowers around the place. I’ve always enjoyed the look of window plant boxes on people’s homes, the house that I grew up in had window boxes that my mother was so proud of planting each spring and summer. There is just something about a window box full of color that really brightens up the place and I’m ready for my place to have that certain touch added to it.
I always have a nice vegetable garden and a few flowers, plants, bushes and trees that pop out their beautiful blossoms for me to enjoy each year. I can’t wait to get my hands in the dirt once again, it seems like forever since we have had a nice warm and dry day. I really don’t like the month of February one bit other than the fact that it means that spring is right around the corner. But this year the groundhog indicates that we won’t be seeing anything for at least another 6 weeks, arg…………
