The past couple of days we have been experiencing some pretty severe weather around here. We will suddenly have a horrible thunder and lightening storm, with buckets of rain coming down and then bamm, it’s gone as fast as it came. The roads are constantly flooded, trees are down, power is interrupted, the whole kit and caboodle.

Today we had the same storm come and go and now the weatherman is talking about tornado warnings, sigh…….

I hate it when it is so hot out that you get so hot and sweaty and just feel down right funky. Then I walk into a store or resturant that is nice and cold with the air conditioner going full blast and I freeze to death. I know there is no pleasing me. I’m either too hot or too cold, arg………..

Shopping sites such as Shopwiki.com are such a wonderful resource for online shoppers like myself. There are some of the best deals available for someone who doesn’t mind staying at home and taking a bit of time and letting their fingers do the walking all over the Internet. Shopping online allows you to focus all of your attention to the job at hand. No worries about crowds, parking issues, rude sales associates, all of the walking that is involved, bratty and unruly children and all the other hassles that go along with shopping at the local malls and other other retail businesses.

If you find that you want or need something you can usually rely on the Internet to bring it to you some how. Right now the Home and Garden sections of Walmart are in complete turmoil and I can’t think of any other place that I’d hate to be at more these days more than Walmart. With spring comes all the Outdoor and Gardens madness that so many of us enjoy and rely on each year. I know that my Dad is up and ready to start with all the Workshop and Home Improvement projects and tasks that he has been thinking of all winter long for his place and a few things around my place as well. Thanks for keeping me in mind Dad!

Speaking of lawn care, it won’t be long before I need to break out the lawn mower and the weed eater. With all the rain that we have been getting the grass will be knee deep before we know it. And we can’t let it get there now can we?

I can smell it in the air. We are all ready experiencing the April showers that we need for the May flowers and it isn’t even April yet. But that is OK, anything is better than snow at this point. We are expected to get into the 70′s later this week, I’m all for that!

I’m itching to get my hands into the earth and start my gardens and really get into some heavy duty yard work. I enjoy working outside as long as isn’t it freezing outside. I have got some nice Decorative Planters that I want to get going soon that I found online a few months ago. The house that I grew up in had the nicest Window Box Planters in the neighborhood and I have wanted to start my own for a long time, so I’m excited about getting them all going and looking good for the up and coming season.

My mother was always so proud of her handy work outside of the house. I know that she will be proud to see that I’m taking the time to try and get my own house and yard in order. She gave me a very nice High End Planter for Christmas that I plan on placing on the front porch. I just haven’t decided which type of flower(s) that I want to plant there. I still have a little bit of time before having to make a decision. Maybe I’ll ask my mother for her opinion, she likes it when I do that!
